More on our standpoint

Membership

Membership to the Ministry (>TKC=-M) basically means being adopted into the family of GOD.  It actually means being grafted into the body of Christ - a life completely surrendered and handed over for total control by Jesus Christ the son of the Living God through the Holy Spirit.  With us, membership is a very serious matter indeed.  Please be serious

(Math 10:32, Eph 4:5-6)

Participate

Your active participation in all activities within the body of Christ is of utmost importance.  Do everything that the Spirit of the Living God leads you to do.  Do not hold back anything.  Do not fear.  See yourself as being on the Lord=s army.  Remember that it is expected that you confess the name of Jesus even if it costs you your life.  Someone has well said that life is only worth a living if there is something the living can die for.

Read: (St. Math 10:28; St. Math 16:24; 1Cor 9:24-27)

Allow God to speak to you.  Seek, listen and hear God speak to you.  Nobody can do that for you.  Get to Him and He shall get closer to you.  Pray for the Spirit of discernment to enable you to hear and recognize God=s voice and to understand what He says.  This is walking with God!!  Let nothing come in between.

Read: (Isaiah 6:1-9; St. John1:12; & St. John 2:23-24)

Remember that you will be tempted.  Temptation is not sin but yielding to temptation is sin.  Be strong and vigilant always purifying yourself.  You gain a lot of spiritual strength through confession, fasting and much prayer.  Prayer alone is not enough.  Confess, fast and pray.  You will experience much grace and victory over the vile of the evil one.  God intends that we live a victorious life and He offers this life to us if we shall obey and follow these steps which lead to closer relationship with Him.

3.         Baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire is obtainable by a definite act of appropriating faith on the part of the fully cleaned believer and the initial evidence of the reception of this experience is speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

The Apostle=s Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, which was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and burried; He descended into Hell, the third day He rose again from the dead.  He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.  I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saint; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and life everlasting.

Who is Jesus?

He is the son of the living God.  He is the annointed of God.  He is God. He is the second person in the Holy Trinity.  He ever was and is and is to come.  He is given as a Saviour to mankind.  He is become the mediator between God the Father and men.  He is the way, the truth and life, and no-one goes to the Father except through Him.  There is no other name under sun that has been given whereby we can be saved but the name of Jesus.  God recognizes no other name and He gave no other name but the name of Jesus.  Through Jesus we can get to he Father and without Him all our human efforts are in vain.

Water Baptism

We ascribe to the view that Baptism is an ordinance and not necessarily a sacrament.  We teach that all who unite with any local church on profession of faith in Christ shall further confess Christ by receiving water baptism as early as possible.  Baptism shall be administered according to the divine command of the Lord: AIn the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.@

The Practise

Take the example of Jesus as in St Matthew 3 : 13-17.

The early church had a similar way. Acts 2:41, Acts 8:35-39, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48

Conditions

The stated conditions are Repent and Believe

Read: St Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38 & 41, Acts 8:12

Is it Optional?

No.  It is a command!

Read St Matthew 28:18-20

What is the Correct Mode?

Read St Matthew 3:16  and Jesus, when He was baptised went up out of the water.

St John 3:23 John was also baptizing at Aenon near Salim because there was Much of

water there

Acts 8:38-3 both Phillip and the Eunuch went down into the water...  It is therefore

very clear that the correct mode of Baptism is by immersion.  The word ABaptism@ comes

from the Greek ABaptizo@ which means to dip or immerse.  To add Aiso@ to the verb

means Ato cause to be@.  Therefore baptizo means to cause to be dipped or immersed.

The great reformed Theologian, Calvin noted: AIt is evident that the term Abaptise@ means

to immerse and that this was the form used by the early church.

What does it really Mean(Symbolise)

It is identification with the death burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:1-4    Death Burial Resurrection

What is the reward

Read St John 14:21

Who is to be Baptized?

Would you like to be baptised just like Christ did and the early church practiced?

Holy Communion

Like baptism we hold the view that Holy Communion is an ordinance and not a sacrament.  It point to something: to Calvary and to the return of Jesus, whose blood cleanses us from all sin and prepares us for His blessed return.

Read Matthew 26: 17 - 30, 1Cor 11:23 - 30

Intending partakes to heed the warnings as in 1Cor 11:28 -32

Who Must Partake?

All who love the Lord!

All who have been baptised as taught.

All who wish to commemorate the death of their common Lord.

What is to be used?

Unleavened bread and unfermented wine only.

How many time?

At least once every quarter of a year.

Treatment

This is to be treated with all dignity and all respect it deserves.  Patience and order from all is of top importance.

Prepare for War

Sanctification

Sanctification is the second level after being born again or saved by the power of Jesus.  It stands to reason therefore, that being saved or being born again is not enough.  There is yet a higher level called sanctification.  Being sanctified is like being carried away by a mighty current in its own direction and having no power to resist.  It is like a soldier engaged at war for a definite and unshakable course.  It is a point where for the particular course one forsakes all and death for the course to him is but gain.  It can be measured: the First measure being absolute loyalty to God=s word, Second; zeal for God=s house, Third; complete devotion to God=s service; Forth: delight in God=s will: doing it all with joy and loyalty to be dedicated to God=s programme.  It is in essence assimilating the nature of Jesus as far as the power of God allows us.  Our joy our all is in the God=s will and nowhere else. It must, however, be perceived to be a second step after being saved or born again.  Sanctification means death to the world.

Study: St. John 17 and carefully consider verses 6, 9,14,16,17 and 19.

Baptism with the Holy Ghost

Every child of God must be baptized with the Holy SPIRIT.  It is a must.  It is , however, not spontaneous.  The cleansed believer has to ask God in earnest prayer for baptism with the Holy Spirit.  Baptism with the Holy Spirit enables one to gain the development of the spiritual life within himself or herself.  One must hunger and thirst after righteousness and shall be filled.  One must be determined that he/she is going to have it.  The Holy Spirit teaches us how to pray, and grants us the strength to battle in prayer.  With His help we can boldly preach the convicting word of the Lord.  He also keeps us holy and helps us work diligently for the Lord, so that we can be ready to meet Him at any moment.  (1 Cor 2:10-11,  Eph 6:18).  He also gives us hope in tribulation (Romans 5:3-5; Eph 1:14).  The big question then and now is: Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? (Acts19:2).  Now remember that just as a sickness is known by its symptoms, we can tell if someone has had the Holy Baptism by the whether he/she speaks in tongues.  Tongues are an unmistakable sign.  Tongues are a divine language for us to praise God!! (1Cor 14:2&14)

You are saved to save

Let us set out to a principle: Each one reach one each week.  Prayerfully consider this and put into action.  How will you or with what will you Greet our Heavenly Father - not even with a single soul??  God=s delight lies in souls.  God ordered the Angels to stop everything they are doing if they hear a soul turning to Him.  Don=t you wish to stir up that Joy in heavenly places.

Here is how you do it:

1.         Win the soul  -           be filled with the Holy Spirit

S                   be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit

S                   pray like never before

S                   cover yourself with the blood of Jesus

S                   reach out as led

2.         Teach             -           emphasise the importance of fellowship

S                   teach according to the word of God

S                   invite to the church

S                   teach personal responsibilities

3.         Send               -           Teach to love the house of God.

S                   Teach to testify for Jesus whenever opportunity arises

S                   Teach to pray without ceasing

S                   Teach to love the brethren by service.

S                   Teach to love work of any kind and to do it as unto the Lord

4.         Church Planting          -          Teach what it is and how it is done

St Luke 24 : 29                       Cleopas and the other invited Him

St John 2 : 1 - 11                    He was also invited to a wedding and He attended
